Dr. Oscar Soto

Dr. Soto is a licensed Psychiatrist. After graduating in Medicine from the University of Valladolid, he trained as a Psychiatrist in the Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, where he gained experience in Transcultural Psychiatry, and did internships in Australia and Berlin. He also completed the Master Psychopharmacology Program by the Neuroscience Education Institute (USA).

He currently works in the Treatment Resistant Depression Program in Vall d'Hebron University Hospital, and as a researcher in Vall d'Hebron Research Institute. He is also a doctoral candidate at Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona. His research focuses on novel therapies for a variety of mental disorders.

He believes that the dialogue between different disciplines and epistemologies is the best way to understand the human mind and find ailment to mental suffering. Because of this, he adopts an integrative approach, drawing from different philosophical and therapeutic perspectives to complement the psychopharmacological treatment.
