She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at Ghent University (Belgium), where she also completed her master's degree on Psychological Sciences with a major on Clinical Psychology. In her final master year she carried out a research exploring the effects of a new accesible mental health initiative for adolescents, called 'Discovery Colleges'. In her last year she also took a specialization course in System Therapy.
She did her supervised clinical practice in a residential youth care facility where she worked in a multidisciplinary team with children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional difficulties. There she also worked with their families, their schools and other associated (judicial) services. She gained a lot of experience with complex cases and crisis situations and contributed to an adapted emotion regulation training (EuREKA) for adolescents with behavioral problems. This clinical practice allowed her to gain experience with a variety of problems such as: trauma, emotional regulation, autism spectrum disorder, attachment problems etc.
After her studies she moved to Barcelona and she is currently doing a clinical practice at Hestía Center, where she is following the masters in Systemic Relational Therapy to further develop her professional skills.
